Bob & Gene – I Can Be Cool featuring The Inversions

We’re celebrating our opening weekend with another track, this time with a remix of the Bob & Gene classic “I Can Be Cool” from Daptone Records. Producer Victor Axelrod takes this ballad of teen angst and layers in the reggae stylings of The Inversions for a slightly mellower jam that’s less “crying in the bathroom while applying Clearasil” and more “listening to the rain and thinking about your exes at on a summer night.”

It’s supposed to rain, tonight. What you do when you listen to this track is your business.

While you can get the original version of this track on iTunes and Amazon, the remix is only available on limited-edition vinyl. Snag one while you can!
